BioI’ve been alive for twenty years, and have spent nearly a third of those filling this journal with misadventures and melodrama. In my “spare time” I’m a Harry Potter fanatic, doctor-in-training, figure-skater, fanficcer, novelist, compulsive knitter and music geek with a weakness for all things Chopin, Vanessa Carlton and, of course, Broadway!

| I tend to want to do everything. The disastrous effects of this philosophy can often be seen here. Why do I have to choose between the lab, the stage, the hospital, the internet, a book, the piano, the ice rink, the floor of my bedroom, my computer and the Disaster Bin?!? Every twenty-four hours, despite being five feet tall, I consume my body weight in food and coffee. Yes, I consider coffee to be a food group of its own - Neopets has always done that – why can't I? Yes, I am largely tolerant to the effects of caffeine (not so alcohol). Yes, I have a sweet tooth (baked goods, creamy desserts, frozen foods). No, I do not drink my coffee with sugar (and in the case of chocolate, the bitterer the better). |

| Life should be a musical. The only types of music which I feel do not validate their own existence are rap and electronic. So I don’t mind if it’s Gershwin, the Goo Goo Dolls, Guy Sebastian, Green Day, Georg Friederich Handel, Gilbert & Sullivan, Good Charlotte, Giuseppe Verdi, Grinspoon, Gabriel Faure, or Guys and Dolls. But I have soft spots for soundtracks and showtunes. And pianos. And good male voices. So if you want me to come quickly, find Josh Groban, sit him at a piano, make him sing “Your Song”, and I will break a sprint record in my little black Converse Chuck Taylors. P.S. Altos rock. Baritones > tenors. |

I prefer Bronte men to Austen men, even if Lizzie Bennett would whip Jane Eyre in a fight, though having said that, Scarlett O’Hara or Josephine March could kick their butts, Hermione Jean Granger could render them unconscious and Rowena Ravenclaw would have the five of them enslaved to her every desire. And don’t get me started on Viola from Twelfth Night, or lovely Luna. |
